Have you heard about a new technology for washing machines which uses both water and steam to better clean your laundry? Steam works as a partner to water in the different phases of washing the clothing to keep the fabrics softer and containing less wrinkles.
By adding steam to a pre-wash cycle of the washing process, the garments are soaked more thoroughly. When introduced into the washing cycle with the laundry detergent, steam raises the temperature of the water, helps to improve the efficiency of the detergent and improves that cleaning power of the washer. In the final cycle, steam sterilizes the clothes and helps to reduce the number of wrinkles left in the fabrics.
LG Electronics and Kenmore have washing machines with this innovative feature.
