It’s always so much fun to have overnight guests staying with you for the holidays. If you are like the rest of us, the preparation needs to be done easily and quickly, after work or on weekends. Consider these suggestions for easy fixes to your home environment that will make your home a welcome haven for your company this holiday season.

  1. Add blankets or quilts and new pillows to the guest room bedrooms.
  2. Set out flowers on a nightstand or dresser in the guest room for a cheery touch.
  3. Place an alarm clock on the nightstand.
  4. Include bottled water and a basket of fruit on a dresser.
  5. Is there a good light for reading?
  6. Make sure there is a spot for them to store their things, in a dresser of cabinet. Living out of a suitcase can be tedious. Baskets in the closet, and extra clothes hangers.
  7. Place a basket on the bathroom vanity containing toothpaste, fresh soap, shampoo and conditioner.
  8. Make certain there are an adequate supply of bath towels available.
